🧭 From Vague Intentions to Clear Targets

Hands up if you’ve wanted to start something and didn’t follow through. I’ve been there. The issue wasn’t willpower—it was fuzziness and friction.

When I wanted to lose weight, I didn’t know where to start. Every idea met a reason why it was too hard: “I don’t have the time.” “I live to eat.” “I don’t like to run.”

Clarity shrinks procrastination. For me: I will lose weight in a sustainable way because I want to look and feel better. I chose exercises I liked (or at least didn’t hate), healthier eating that didn’t feel like a chore, and a gym five minutes from work.

What clarity looks like:

🔹 One-sentence goal: “I will ___ because ___.”

🔹 Barrier hunt: Top two blockers across knowledge, skill, emotion, environment

🔹 If-then plan: “If it’s 8:30am on Tuesday, then I will ___.”
